I've finished reading (listening to) "Yours, Eventually" by Nura Maznavi, narrated by Farah Kidwai.
It's a modern retelling of Jane Austen's "Persuasion", which is my favourite Jane Austen novel, so the standard is high. Also, this contains spoilers for pretty much everything, so don't read this if you don't want to know the exact ways in which the novel was adapted.
I'll give this book a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars, which makes this an enormous improvement on the last Austen retelling I've read.
( spoilers start here )
Anyway. my review doesn't have much of a red thread and I'm too exhausted from writing papers for homework to go back and make this review more coherent. I've already spent at least 2h on this and I've vented my thoughts on all the things I really wanted to talk about.
